Violet is definitely the new black with our recent 200mL release nearing sell-out! By popular demand, we have decided to launch into our flagship 700mL bottle, giving you the chance to savour your new favourite sip a little longer.
Pure, smooth Australian sugarcane spirit is distilled with traditional juniper and Australian native botanicals, lemon myrtle, cinnamon myrtle, pepper berry, finger lime and wattle seed. Butterfly pea flowers are steeped in the liquid for 18 hours to bestow their natural blue tint. This is sensitive to pH and transforms to ultraviolet with added acidity such as tonic or lemon. Distinctively Australian, artfully balanced Fresh juniper, pine and lively citrus aromas precede a spicy warmth. On the palate, layers of intriguing flavour unfold, from familiar juniper to juicy finger lime, mellow wattle seed, lingering zesty and peppery spice.
Violet Gin is best served with Tonic and garnished with dehydrated orange and rosemary. For something a bit fancy, try our Pine-Violet Cocktail:
45mL Violet Gin
45mL Unsweetened Pineapple Juice
15mL Lemon Juice
1tbs Orgeat Syrup
Simply shake all ingredients except Violet Gin with ice. Strain into a tall-glass filled with crushed ice and layer Gin on top. Garnish with half a passion fruit.
